Acer

So I opened RedLegg’s spam snail mail yesterday and I got a bunch of information on Acer’s product lines, notebooks, desktops etc.  And I thought back to all of the Acer notebooks & machines of my past and they were all really good!  Really good.  I don’t have my Acer now because I gave them to some employees & they are using them now.  But they are seriously very solid machines.    But who likes Acer?  I have been answering the phone, quoting IT people for 32948230483248 years and the number of people that ask me for an Acer the past 11 years could definitely be counted on one hand.   Why is Acer so unpopular?  How are they still around competing against Dell, Lenovo & H-P..? Or even Toshiba?  Remember Gateway?  They took over their machines, maybe they should have taken over their name too.  I think it is really just a naming problem.   Acer sounds like a crap machine.  “I just ordered some Acers”.  I really do not like the name Acer.  It makes me sick a little inside & I like their products.  If you had a bad Acer experience you would probably feel even more sick inside.   I vote that Acer changes its name & image ASAP and I think then it can truly compete with its competition out there.  Be big on support & keep up the quality of the machines.  As far as what name to choose.. hmm I am not one for giving advise on these matters.. but anything other then ACER will work.  Laura out.
