But redleg (one g) is a US Army term for artillery personnel.  The “redleg” meaning comes from the red stripe down the trouser of the dress uniforms for the US artillery types.

One of the founders of RedLegg was an artillery man for a large portion of his lifetime.  He did not want to name his IT company like all of the other guys.. his initials, mall, computers are us, consulting group etc.  

Thus RedLegg was born!!!
